It seems as though the most obscure conflicts have inspired a line of miniatures, but not this conflict. Is there any line dedicated to it? |

Not for the French in 1840 For the 1830's you can get away with using French Napoleonic infantry if you are selective and for the 1850's there are the Crimean war ranges The only near-contemporary range is 28mm Perry Miniatures' FFL for the Carlist Wars I'm currently painting up some Peter Pigs WW1 Belgians to see what they look like I've asked a couple of 15mm companies if they would consider doing a range but there's no demand |

It is a great pity. The last colourful period ignored by manufacturers. Maybe the current political climate would not be the best to launch such a range. In 15/18mm I have painted up some 1815 French for the 1830 invasion and you could use some 1815 Dutch for the late 1830s. I am planning to buy some of the new AB 1815 French when they are released to use as well. See the Wargamorium Blog link Regards |

It is a pity as my pet project is refighting all of the campaigns of Marshal Bazaine. I have armies for all of the other campaigns – just not this one @Broglie I've seen your blog on North Africa before – very nice. In fact Campaign Game Miniatures was one of the companies I approached to produce a range. |

I too have thought about using the Perry Carlist FFL for this campaign. Then are the wonders of cut-&-paste and green-stuff conversion. Some day… |

You'd also be faced with a shortage of suitable locals. No one really does accurate Maghrebi Arabs or Berbers at the moment, and certainly not for this early phase of the French conquest when firearms would be limited to the traditional long-barreled flintlock. |
