Hi, I would be very grateful if someone could answer me a quick qustion, did Austrian and Hungarian troops of the SYW powder there hair/wigs. I am currently working from too books one says they did and one says that they did not, so I am a bit stuck. Can anyone say for deffinate which I should do. Thanks very much for any help, Dave.

I have read the answer is no and from some of the contemporary pictures it looks like they have natural hair.

No powder for the rank and file. Sometimes I paint white hair on the officers to distinguish them from the rest of the unit.
