I've been thinking of putting together a platoon of stormtroopers. I'd hoped to use the old WoTC plastics, figruing they'd be plentiful and cheap but checking eBay 1) they are going for 3 to 5 dollars (US) 2) the sculpts look pretty janky Imperial Assault stormtroopers are roughly the same price and much better sculpted, but I'm not thrilled with the price. Are there any alternatives? Pieces from a board game? I want to stick to 28mm and avoid "kinda looks like a stormtrooper" proxies. Thanks! |

Have you checked the online stores that sell singles, like this one? link |

The earlier sets tended towards better sculpts, Rebel Storm being the best if memory serves. |

Have you looked at the Dreamforge Eisenkern troopers? I have a couple dozen I want to sell. |

You could try this line. When Star Wars came out the Star Guard figures came out and one line looked like stormtroopers. The line is carried now by Tin Soldier link |

hey guys, thanks for the suggestions. Troll and Toad have a handful, but not the 30+ I'd like to get. I saw some beautiful figures by "Knight Models" but I can't find a website for them. Are they out of print? Is Knight Models still in business? |

@JSears, Knight Models no longer does Star Wars miniatures. They decided their Batman game figures were the way to go. |

For 5$ each, I 'd rather go for Fantasy Flight Imperial Assault figures. Not many poses, but much better sculpts |
