Does the modern FOW games use separate LMG and LAW bases? Or are they like the WWII rules and factor them in with the rifle groups? |

I suspect you might be able to get a clue from some of the pics they've released of their figures. |

LMG and LAW are combined. The US platoon is 4 SAW/LAW teams, and 3-4 Dragon teams. The Soviet platoon is similar: 3-4 AK74/RPG18 teams, 3 RPG-7 teams. |

Although note they have also factored in a separate Soviet support section of 3 x LMGs on a large base. Have a look at the Breakthough Assault rule review vid for details… |

Specifically, 2 LMG teams (each a large base with 2 belt-fed PKM machine guns) per Soviet company. The magazine-fed RPK is included without special mention in the AK74 team. Similarly, grenade launchers don't get special mention, but are probably the reason that the AK74 and SAW teams are considered to have FP 5+. |

There are a few new infantry on large bases, I think it's the Soviet PKM and SAM teams. Otherwise, everything I've seen previewed has SAWs and LAWs on the same base. |
