I have read the Kings of War rules and found myself pleasantly surprised, they look like a good fantasy set of rules. I have been toying with using Microworld games 6mm fantasy figures for this ruleset, does this make me crazy? Well TMP fantasy guru's what do you think of this idea. Any Kings of War players please chime in. |

Bashy, You are not crazy at all. I am in the process of painting up 3 large 6mm armies for KOW right now. I have played numerous games of KOW in 28mm and like the system. It is not perfect but it plays well. I have always been attracted to really massive games…but a lot of systems breakdown when you have too many units on the table. I think that KOW might be able to accommodate having dozens if not more units (per side) on the field. My goal is to have armies of 40-50 units. (Note that I have not had any huge games yet as I have much more painting/basing to do before I can field my hordes.) You may need to fiddle with unit sizes but as long as you are consistent this is really not issue. Microworld Games is awesome by the way. I have several of their 6mm armies and they look great painted, based and on the table. |

Not at all (or if you are so am I). I've used my 10mm warmaster armies to play KoW, so 6mm isn't much different. |

10mm works fine, we just used centimetres instead of inches. So long as the base sizes are consistent 6mm would work just as well. |

Kings of War is a fun, fast system for big battles. As long as you and your opponent have the same base sizes, it will work fine in 6mm |

Yes Bashy, this does officially make you crazy. And we love you for it! Seriously, 6mm KOW sounds fantastic, you could do insanely epic, big battles on a scale that is impossible with 28mm. I say go for it…you wargaming nutjob. ;) |
