The five pictures posted below are samples from a 95-picture gallery I have put together reflecting my 15mm/18mm French and Indian War (FIW) collection. The collection is presented as four phases of the FIW displayed on four 5 ft. x 7 ft. tables. The gallery is accompanied by a lengthy write-up explaining what went into the making of the collection. If you like the sample pictures, and I hope that you do, please check out the entire gallery at link

Absolutely wonderful… a joy to view all of your slides on this project. Many thanks for sharing the photos.

How did you make the water for the lake and wide river? It appears to be a crackled ceiling tile but the blue is a mystery. A really nice water effect.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to write and for the kind words. Rod, the water is plastic ceiling tile/sheeting used to cover ceiling lighting in kitchens. It comes in 2 ft x 4 ft. sections. The blue is really simple. I spray the smooth side of the plastic with Testors Dark Blue Gloss (the spray cans) until the plastic is well covered. When that is dry, I take some random spray shots with Testors Bright Blue Gloss just to give the water a little color variety. The two colors blend well together so the the shift from one color to the other is subtle. There is really nothing to it. Thanks again for writing, and I am glad you all enjoyed the gallery. If you read my write up you will know that this collection is really special to me… a dream from my childhood. Richard

Splendid work, as usual, I love your galleries!

mghFond, thank you. I appreciate your appreciation. It always surprises me that several hundred people can stop by a posting and only a couple of them will take the time to write few words. So when I say I appreciate your appreciation, I really mean it. Thanks you. Richard

Really a great collection as is all your galleries. The FIW is my favorite period and I have been collecting figures in 28mm for a Monongahela diorama plus some small vignettes.I admire your dedication and discipline in starting and completing a project.I almost went to the Blue Moon range but decided I wanted the larger figures.Take care.

Thanks for writing Mark. I'm glad you enjoyed the collection. I tend to fall in love with each of my collections as I work through each project, but the FIW and I go back a very long way so I guess it is rather extra special to me. Good luck with you project. Hope you will post it for viewing. Richard
