I am trying to put together a 28 mm squad of British military police in the peak Cap, not a helmet.

I would like a figure with minimal equipment, gaiters would be good. Trousers OK. Best if they carry the only pistols. Perhaps just a collection of officer figures would work.

I really like that combination of khaki uniform, red trim and white belts.

Thanks

Maybe look at some WW1/VBCW/Homeguard offerings for lightly equipped individuals with pistols……….? Most of the WW2 figures are 'well equipped' and carry rifles etc….

Crusade ww2 British command pack might have suitable figures

If you don't have a problem working with plastics, maybe Warlord plastic Brits would be a good starting point:

Since they are multi-part plastic, you can choose how heavily equipped you want to build them, and there seems to be a number of pistols included.

Main drawback is that they do not come with peak caps. However, since the helmets are separate, it should be quite easy to replace them if you can find some company that sells metal/resin peak caps on their own (Warlord might have some alternative metal headgear available also).

I used the police head from the Wargames Foundry Survivors set on the Warlord plastic British body. The look I was going for was a provost guarding prisoners, so I equipped him with one of the Thompson SMGs from the Warlord pack.

If you don't want to buy the Survivors set, you could use the Empress Miniatures SCW Asalto head sprue: link

Lots of good suggestions thanks. Jeff I didn't know Empress have the assaulto head thanks. I have been using Woodbine heads when I needed a peaked Hat . Can anybody post a picture of the basic warlord British figure. How much equipment does it come with on it.?

With suitable nand conversions how with this figure work.

I could change it to head to so they're not so distinctive. I only need 8 to 16 figures so head transfers are OK. I wish there were some gators though it would be a real pain to file all those ankles down.
