I bought 'Wings of Glory' by Ares games and some of the pre- painted fighter planes, but what I really wanted were the classic 'Battle of Britain' planes that I'd built and painted (badly!) as model kits as a child.

I did a bit of research and found the excellent resin models by Armaments in Miniature.

Decals are from Mehusla on eBay and are really superb quality- easy to apply and they really 'finish' the models.

All are AIM models apart from the JU52 and JU88 which are Zvezda plastic kits. Just wish Zvezda made more in 1/200.

Great work Dan … are Spits and Canes next?

You're a man after my own heart. How many of us had our childhoods influenced by that one campaign in 1940?

They look great, Dan! I scratched this particular itch in 1/100, but your work shows there's few reasons not to go half that scale.

Looking forward to seeing the RAF make an appearance, too.

Very nice indeed. How do you like the rules?

Thanks for the comments!

I haven't managed to get a game in yet due to work and family commitments, but did manage to get the the earlier expansion pack decks so I can field the BF109s, Stukas and early war Hurricanes and Spitfires.

I do indeed have RAF planes to follow- currently drying on the radiator downstairs, so will post as soon as they are finished! :O)

Lovely, Dan!

As is always the way, you finish a project and then they announce that they will be selling exactly that item; one of the Wings of Glory authors outlined some future plans in the comments of this old blog post this last week:

Maybe you can make suggestions regarding the content of the Battle of Britain set, since production seems some way off?
