Coming to a theater near you this Christmas -- Point Break I actually just stumbled across this on youtube. This is the first I've heard of it. The studio is really pushing it. Not. Oh, and it is a remake not a "Point Break II". Bah, Humbug. And for the haters out there -- no Keanu Reeves. |

We'll just have to break out the ol' VHS to enjoy his binary facial expressions ("blank" and "slight grimace" (AKA the "whoa" face). This is all just a thinly-veiled excuse to trot out a bunch of shiny new extreme sports. "BASE-jumping? What are you, my grandmother?" |

Hollywood ran out of ideas 10 years ago. Michael Caine once said they were remaking all the good movies, there are a lot of lousy movies which should be remade and improved first. |

There was a stage production here in L.A. called "Point Break: Live." The twist was, the part of Keanu Reeves was played by an audience member chosen at random who would read their lines from a cue card, to get that totally unprepared, wooden Keanu effect. :) |

Im usually cold on remakes but then the Judge Dredd remake was wicked, so maybe there's hope. Difference is that the original Point Break was pretty good while the original Judge Dredd was awful. |
