You are going to become the poster boy for Warrior Miniatures! They are one of the best kept secrets around. Apparently, no more. |

Hi Cyrus A poster boy at 63, you have made my day! |
bruntonboy | 20 Nov 2015 12:36 p.m. PST |
Thanks for showing these off, they look like nice little sculps. Do you know how they compare to others out there such as Essex or Minifigs? |

Hi Bruntonboy, I bought some Minifigs Russian infantry on ebay because they were going cheap and they fit okay as far as I m concerned. Don't have any Essex figures so I can't tell. I post a picture of a Minfigs unit with Warrior Command so you and see the comparison |

Cheers abc, I do have some Warrior figures from the early 1980's and these fit in very well with my existing stuff but the ones you have pictured look like more recent models. I am after a Bavarian army and these look absolutely superb and cover 90% of what I need in any case. |

When it is said they fit with Minifigs, would that be 2nd or 3rd generation? Thanks. Tom |

I like Warrior in general – their figures always paint up well, and boy their prices are competitive ! |

Are these the same Warrior miniatures that make the lovely 15mm Roman figures? From Glasgow? |

I've got a few Warrior figures in both 15mm and 25mm scales. They are obviously not the most well designed of figures but for the price they can certainly do a job and they do paint up pretty well. I think they would do better if the gallery on the Warrior website was updated with some painted figures but then I guess that takes time and effort to sort out when there's plenty of other things to be doing. |

Many thanks for your kind comments. I did have some 15mm Poles from Minifigs back in the 1970s and these are the first 15mm figures I have painted since then. I don't know much about different generations of Minfigs, but the Russians are early Napoleonic War and are slim. you have to glue the backpacks on and I did for one unit and didn't for the other. I only needed to add command and the Warrior Command set is so 'inexpensive' I went for them and I think they mixed quite well. I will be posting some picture of my Russians so you can see them. I am a bit new to all this blogging and posting, so I don't want to overwhelm the sites with too much in one go. So look out for them towards the end of next week. |

I fondly remember adverts for Warrior from the 70s in the back of the Military Modelling -a whole War of the Roses army for fourpence or similar. As I said on the other thread the Napoleonic these guys make are excellent chunky, robust wargame figures. |
