I cant find a 1/72 greyhound anywhere except this one. link does anybody have it? I don't want a white one, but am willing to repaint it. what I need to know is if the white paint is smooth, or is it a texture? basically, could it be repainted/ |

There is one on ebay from an international seller from greece. He wants a lot but they do show up. |

Corgi has one in their 'Fighting Machines' line. The scale is not advertised but close to 1/72 I believe: auction |

I've repainted Amercom models without difficulty. |

MMS ships to the U.S. and I am pretty sure milicast does too. Shipping is high but not terrible, I order from mostly UK mini companies (I am in the US too). Having said that if you like the Amercom grab it, it should do the trick. Edit: just saw the price on the Amercom model, you can get the MMS M8 for about the same price |

the corgi one works but u need to replace the barrel |

Extratech made one in 1/72 as well. +1 on shipping from MMS and Milicast, they are both terrific sellers. |

I have just got my order form amercom and it contained 5 m8's, but they were all pre orders, so all sold. 1 think I may have one old stock white one left. |

how do the mms vehicle scale compared to most 1/72 kits? I know "20" comes with some variation. |
shaun from s and s models | 20 Nov 2015 8:33 a.m. PST |
I tihnk the mms models are really 1/76th scale as barry is one for getting scale right. |

SHQ and Rafm make them as well. The Rafm kit is very buggy to assemble though. MMS and Milicast are true 1/76 kits and if you have any other M8s they will be noticeable. Having said that they are both super kits with tons of detail. |

I have few Amercom Greyhounds and they are generally green model which were dusted with white paint. So not ideally flat surface. I wondered how to remove this paint. I suppose I wont have any problem with repainting them. |

Britannia also have a nice one with lots of moulded on stowage |

A nail or sanding file should smooth out the uneven snow texture on the Amercom model. |

You can use easy off to take the paint off if you want to start over from scratch. |

I cant find the italeri one anywhere! it might be out of print or something. That would be sad news. I bought one of those once upon a time, and it is pretty decent looking model once assembled. |

I'm a modeler, not a gamer, but have been looking for a couple of M8s for a month or so. The Italeri one is OOP, at least for now, same with the Extratech one. I've sen the Milicast 1/76 model, the detail is very impressive. Not seem the MMS one, so can't comment, but looks good in pics. There are a couple of ebay sellers who are in the US, who seem to specialize in 1/72 & 1/76 scale, but for the UK items they sell, seems with their price plus postage, it would be just a cheap to buy from the UK direct. |

TR, are the RF models cast with the base in place? |

Italiera quick build best choice but apparantly hard to find. Corgi next best but you need to cut off the 3.7L gun barrel and replace it with the .50 cal barrel. I use both (Corgi pre-painted so the extra work to exchange barrels isn't overall a big deal). TomT |
