Nice photos. I love the note: "Touch and Die". That was an interesting mat used for the WW2 desert game.

As above, thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing. Does anyone have any idea what that ACW steam naval game was using for water? That looked good.

historygamer – I wasn't there but I'd guess the 'water' was acrylic light panels over an appropriate colored surface. At least that bumpy surface suggests so. Pretty fine bumps, though.

They did not look like that kind of hard plastic – at least when I saw them. But maybe.

I had a look too history gamer – it looked like a very thin rippled plastic, the sort of thing used in fluro light covers but much thinner and finer. That was laid over the brown coloured cloth. Whatever it was it was very effective!

I did see the game being set up and again later when it was being played. I did not look close enough to know exactly what the water was made from. However, the 2 x 4 light panels are "bumpy" on one side and "smooth" on the other. It could well be that they are what was used.

GREAT PICTURES! Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know what "The Plow", er Plough went for in the Toys for Tots auction? I was tempted.

Daniel,

I think the "Plough" was not successfully auctioned off because the minimum required bid was not met, but I could be wrong. Santa Moe would know…
