Was on GW's site this morning and checking out their new releases. As staunch of a backer as I am of GW and as much of a fan of their miniatures and games as I still remain – this particular item just compelled me to facepalm… …it's GW's official water pots for $17. USD They look like – coffee cups to me? I've got about 50 "water pots" in my house. I wonder if my generic cups don't hold hobby water correctly, LOL. Wow GW, you're pushing it. This ranks with their $33 USD "fine detail cutters", Walmart has them for $5. USD Thing that scares me is that someone out there will actually buy these. link |

Don't forget those very small baggies of "official" GW sand, for $11.95 USD, or whatever ridiculous price they used to sell for. I'm pretty sure you can get 50 – 100 pounds of it for less than a couple of ounces from GW. Hint, the dollar store sells cups and glasses for $1.00 USD, and you can probably get small amounts of sand from your backyard, or by the roadside for free. |

I'd have been a lot happier with it it they'd just marketed them as mugs. Which is what they are. Then they could say, "hey, you could also wash out your brushes in it, too…but only when the coffee's gone cold- LOL!" Hmmm, remember back when GW had a sense of humor? "…each of these fantastic stoneware Citadel water pots are matched to a colour in the Citadel paint range!" So there's like, sixty different ones? I see four. |

I've never been much of a fan of their accessories range. I have the odd tape measure mostly because I've arrived at a store ready to game only to discover no one brought one. Still their little packs of rocks and clippers are easily found elsewhere. I never bought their paint brushes either until I got one in a set of stuff that I bought or traded or something. It had a brush in it and I tried it and it was very good. I was surprised. It is still not going to get me to buy a $17 USD mug. |

Apparently you haven't seen the ads for GW's Official Paint Thinning Water. Only $25 USD per half pint, each in its own faction specific plastic, recyclable bottle. For use only with the Official GW Coffee Mug, er, I mean, Water Pot. Now available for pre order. "When tap water just won't do." |

Gets better… the official GW AOS "rangefinder". Gold-encrusted tape measure. looks like a 14 karat Ring Ding snack cake. $33 USD, c'mon GW, REALLY? I'd rather spend $33 USD on some of your minis instead of a glorified tape measure.

Hillarious! "Pot", really? It's a mug! As for sand and gravel a 40 or 60 pound bag goes for $7 USD at the local Home Improvement store. I made the mistake of buying the GW figure vice/clamp thing from the a few years back. It was only 12 bucks and I figured why not. Turned out that it was completely plastic (even the chromed screw). When mini table vices (completely metal with several different points of articulation) showed up at ALDI for $7 USD I bought one and sold the GW piece of crap. Almost feel guilty that I charged the guy $5 USD for it. |

Not sure what the big deal is. People waste money on all kinds of things. Anything with a sports logo or player's name is ridiculously overpriced. Same goes with Star Wars stuff: link Retail $33 USD, not worth $5. USD |

Although the Jabba the Hutt costume probably is worth $100. USD |

I like that Darth Vader toaster for $50 USD, though I'll wait for one of their sale coupons to get it on sale. Everyone needs toast with the SW logo emblazoned on it!

Bought one of those Age of Sigmar "range finders" today and it's pretty cool. Nice and heavy, made of metal, with neat designs on the measuring tape part. Of course it helped that it was $20 USD with my employee discount! And not being poor, $20 USD for a toy is not a problem. |

GW needs to start selling official transparent brush cleaning liquid to its fans |
HUBCommish | 21 Nov 2015 10:17 a.m. PST |
Lowe's does. It's called mineral spirits, comes in a big can, costs $5. USD |
Mithmee | 21 Nov 2015 2:43 p.m. PST |
Well if GW was selling it… It would come in a smaller can and cost around $50. USD |
