Last night our club played the Battle of Virton in 6mm using the Great War Spearhead II rules. It's a historical meeting engagement between a French and German corps as part of a local allied counter-attack in Belgium in August 1914. Thank you very much for the write up and the photos. Top quality as usual. I found that the ridge favoured the Germans rather more, as they were able to occupy the highest ground first. Love the description of the abortive French flank attack :-) Robert |
