I started playing Ogre/GEV back in the 70's, and bought my first Martian Metals miniatures in 1979. I've got about 200 or so units, plus about 6 ogres. We played dozens and dozens of games, and had a great time. I realized this week that it had been literally 15 years since this set had seen the tabletop. The last time we played, it just felt like we'd played the game out. It is not a knock on Ogre/GEV at all – it just felt like it belonged to another time. So can anyone recommend a good fast-playing set of rules that has a more modern feel, that would roughly track the unit types in Ogre/GEV? Thanks! |

Future War Commander. It even has stats for all the Ogre/GEV units. |
