Thanks for sharing your snaps, some good stuff there I managed to get there on Sunday morning, spent the £70.00 GBP I had in about 15 minutes. Got another £130.00 GBP out, and managed to leave with a fiver. Never got to see the games hall, as I was so knackered & needed some zeds. It was a good morning out though. However bought a fair few bits of scenery for Frostgrave from The Square, Coritani, Ainsty & Col Bill amongst others. Also picked up the 11 Saxon Shield Maidens from Elite Wargames & Models for £15.50 GBP. Got a few more luvlies from the Dicebag Lady & a few other odd figures. Shocked but pleasantly surprised that the car parking firm had gone bust, so no parking costs. However, I would have thought a busy place like Rivermead would have been a nice money spinner for the car park owners. |

I've noticed a fair amount of Frostgrave around the shows this autumn, I think that Frostgrave has become the new FOW. Something new comes along and that's all you see. A couple of years back at Colours I approached one trader, the table was laden with Perry plastics, Warlord Games' Pike and Shotte (nice figures both) and Army Painter dips and sprays. Moved to the next trader – Perry, Warlord and Army Painter; third trader, guess what? More recently it has been all FOW. Still, I enjoyed Warfare, as I always do, collected my pre-orders from Pendraken, Adler and Coritani. Even a couple of unplanned items, some Vallejo 'Gunmetal Blue' which is just the colour I've been seeking for some time and a nice looking book of ECW scenarios. |

Great pics. I went Saturday in the morning it seemed very busy in the main hall the place was buzzing all traders where very busy some 3 deep started at the back an worked my way out stopped at parkfield, grubby for a few bits an on the way out I noticed some saxon shield Maidens and female napoleonics all very tasteful had to have them all in the after seeing them at Elite war games an models then on to last Valley for some nice tree settings .games hall all buzzing too and great to look round and had to stop an play the odd one or two just for a rest :) the bring an buy was stacked with a few bargains but a lot over priced overall still a very good show that still has a lot more potential. But well done to WAR an all it's members an helps that make the show welcoming . |
