Just a reminder that "The Weekend! 2016 will held on Jun3 17 to 19th 2285 Lincoln Highway East, Lancater PA., 17602. there will be a kick-off dinner on the 16th. We are welcoming many board gamers this year from the WBC which is moving on to Pittsburgh (for reasons surpassing human understanding) and the theme for this years "the Weekend" is "Space Babes{ Science Fiction gaming."

As is usual with these things and in keeping with the theme we have had several games scheduled, including a 19th Century Colonials, American Civil War, World War Two and Seven Years War, though one person HAS registered a game that sounds suspiciously like a derivative of "the Creature that Ate Sheboygen, my own game of "Time", and Ralph Krebs has said he will do a Victorian Sci-Fi game. Tracy Johnson will put on his "miniaturized" version of the updated and redesigned Board Game "After The holocaust.

"The Weekend" is a small convention which concentrates on friendship, fellowship, games, and gamers, and on new and innovative gaming. Most of the participants are major game masters and try out their new games and scenarios at "The Weekend" before going on to Historicon, Cold Wars, or Fall-In!. The facility is excellent for them with gret lighting and unbeatable roll-on-roll off loading, and of course there is "The Munchie Pit."

We are about to put out our December issue of the update for "the Weekend" which will have new games, new events, and the like. If you are interested in the convention please drop me a line at sigurd@eclipse.net and give me your postal address and I will add you to the mailing list to receive out quarterly updates.

The cost for the convention is free if you take a room at the Continental, and for walk ups and persons staying at other hotels we ask for a donation of $20. USD USD Persons are free to contribute to the munchies pit munchies table as is their desire. We aren't out to make a lot of money here, just cover expenses and have a great convention. We are adding a small room for Thursday to extend the time available to board gamers and will be holding several new events there.

If you are already going to the convention, be sure to tell the Front Desk that your reservations are for "The Daisy Gaming Weekend" to get the reduced convention room rate which comes with a full breakfast

Otto Schmidt.

This is the second trip to Lancaster I'm going to have to miss (cat-centric emergency kept me from Fall-In). Shazbat!frown

OTOH, if the author of Oh God! Anything But A Six! should happen to read this message, I sure would like a copy of the basic rules and the renaissance variant. My e-mail is larrytuohyATgmail.com

Dear Larry

Sorry, you should have gotten to me before I retired. I can no longer be philanthropic, and have to charge for postage and paper. If you cant a copy of the rules send me your postal address at sigurd@eclipse.net

Otto's largesse deserves some recompense. Nice to hear he's retired – and sensibly to some degree, it seems.
