Does anyone know the manufacturer of these 15mm French dragoons being offered on eBay. They appear to be one-piece castings.

Looking at the style of the horses, I think that they may be Battle Honours; sculpted by Anthony Barton before he launched AB Figures. |

BH has the rider separate from horse. I have many of both AB and old BH and they do not look like this! You may want to review CGM campaign-game-miniatures. MG |

They look like the Old Freikorps horses and that metal looks right for them as well. |

They look a lot like Table Top, there cavalry was one piece casting, Dose anyone know what happened to Bob Conner's Table Top 15mm rang ? A nice rang, a little small by to days standards. |

Tabletop is now carried by Battleline Miniatures and others (see manufactures link on TMP)
The Horse tails are very different |

Rich Bliss might have solved this one FK did a Napoleonic range and opc was a hallmark of that stable. |

Lancashire perhaps at a guess? |
SJDonovan | 16 Nov 2015 10:30 a.m. PST |
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm guessing it wasn't a very successful range since no one is certain who made them. It's a shame because they look pretty good to me. |

gut feel might be that these could be AB knockoffs… glue the horse and rider together and mould. The horses are very AB in style, but the metal looks cheap and nasty, and the quality not so great. |

reminds me of early generation Old Glory, but then again BH knockoffs TMP link |

The table top look better proportioned in the rider. Still think they are CGM- perhaps older sculps. link MG

I have those CGM dragoons and they are nothing like the ones SJ posted above. |
heavyhorse | 17 Nov 2015 10:36 a.m. PST |
looks like some old ral partha figs from the early 80,s |
Jcfrog | 17 Nov 2015 1:46 p.m. PST |
Recognize the horse. Can't recall the name. I think a company that does not exist any more from 90s. Falcon miniatures. Maybecstill available in Us. Not |

CGM are relatively new – hard to believe they would have already re-done some codes…. |

Thanks again for the replies. Generally, when you post a picture of a mystery figure on TMP someone provides a definitive answer within about five minutes but these ones seem to have got everyone baffled. They do look very like Lancashire figures as suggested by Timmo but the horses do not look quite the same. These are photos from Lancashire's website:
I got so intrigued that I have actually put a bid in for them (which I slightly regret: I liked the look of the horses but now I look closer at the riders their anatomy seems off and they look as if their boots are attached directly to their waists). Anyway, if my bid proves successful and I get to see the figures in the flesh I will report back. |

On reflection I don't think they are FK either here are some FK Franco Prussian War French.

Pretty sure falcon miniatures. Always the same horse. Been bought by Us trader. Not sure still making them though. |

Unfortunately my bid for the figures proved successful and they arrived in the post today. I am still no more certain about the make (but Falcon as suggested by Jcfrog does seem most likely). Up close, the figures are pretty bad. The castings are clean and the horses are sculpted well but the anatomy of the riders is terrible. They basically don't have any thighs – the top of their boots looks like it is attached to their waists. Very peculiar. I really have to learn not to bid on eBay after I've had a drink. |

Yes, definitely Falcon Figures. |
SJDonovan | 26 Nov 2015 6:19 a.m. PST |
Thanks Jemima. So, we have a definitive answer: they are Falcon and they are rubbish. |
