Looks interesting! Good luck! One thing is why are the points at the higher levels the same cost as the lower levels. Most consumers will look for a "sweet spot" and would expect some difference. What I mean is that at the $20 USD level, I get 20 points and at the $320 USD level, I get 320 points. What is the incentive to go for some of the higher pledge levels? |

I was going to pledge but I don't understand what I get with this "point" thing. I assume each piece is worth a certain amount of points and I can pick a number of pieces equal to the points I pledge but nowhere do I find the point system. It also sounds like a logistical nightmare for you to customize everyone's order! But I really love the concept and I will pledge! |

Rdfraf: The point system is explained in the description beneath the blue section and above the Push Goal section. I did the point system rather than create hundreds of rewards to suit all the possible combinations of the walls and connectors. It will be a nightmare for me, but this gives the backers the freedom to get the pieces they want. alex757: I had considered giving a "bonus" for higher pledges but since I'm offering the pieces at near cost amounts it would have meant the $20 USD pledge would have given 15 points, and the higher pledges closer to a dollar a pledge. In the end I opted out of manipulating the value and went with something that would be fair to everyone. |

Ok, fair enough… Do you have any closeups of a building face? Are they textured or are they just flat? What are you using for the roof/floors? Is it just a sheet of 3/16th foamboard? |

alex757: There are closeups of the wall pieces here: link The first set are flat with no texture with the idea of people being able to add their own textures. We do have plans for texture plates which are thin detailed covers that snap onto the wall to give the a specific texture, the idea here being they can be used and replaced by other plates to create new textured walls. There are also plans to offer walls with textures built in. I've used foam board, thin wood, mdf pieces for both floors and ceilings. We also have plans for something called wall caps which would connect to the tops of the walls and create a decorative top to the wall, or hold angled roofs in place. I could go on forever with the plans we have for this project, but first we need to get the basic set out then grow from there. |
