Nicely done, Johnny. The pics are well done, too! I'm guessing they add 15mm? Bob |

They look good – only thing I notice that stands out a bit is that Royalist forces in the main Oxford army wore red or rose sashes. Blue was a colour that had some association with Fairfax and possibly the Eastern Association regiments. Given that the KLG was a key unit in the main Oxford army I'd definitely go for red sashes. Does anybody know why Warlord had tassels on their pikes? |

Hi Guys The models are 28mm by Warlord games. I didn't realize the KLG had red sashe. I've been doing Blue Sashes and tassels (no idea why they have tassels) as a way to link all the units in the army together. Blue might be incorrect but it does break up the red nicely. I may go back and correct them once the army is complete. Timmo do you have any good uniform links for the Royalist forces that you could recommend? |

If your going to build the King's Oxford army there is a good deal of information out there. They where dressed in suits, coat and britches of the same colour and issued with Monteroes (a peeked cap that folds out in to a Balaclava). Officers and Sargents wore their own cloths and not usually the same as the regimental coats, one of resins they where sashes. There was a fashion in the Oxford army for Captains to wear red coats. Have a look at the 6mm Baccus ECW website, there are a of good information there. |
