Okay so the 15mm scifi stuff has caught my attention. But I want a set of rules that allow for big battles, on par with FoW. 20 vehicles per side, 50 stands of infantry But also allow you to make your own stats. So waht do you suggest. |

Hammers Slammers, Future War Commander come to mind. There was also an SF mod for FoW 2nd ed kicking around that was actually quite good, gave you a points calaculator so you could stat up your own forces. Not sure of its current location but definitely worth tracking down. |

Thanks McWong, have looked at FWC, but the opportunity fire just slows the game down, while all the markers for pinned and hits clutter the table. Hammers Slammers is new to me. Allows force building? Will look for the FoW variant. |

Laserstorm will hook you up :-) 100% free of markers, counters and other such. This was the promotional bit when I released the rules TMP link |

Another recommendation for Laserstorm or even Epic Armageddon. Just change you Cm to inches and you're set for 15mm. |

Strike Legion and Strike Legion Planetary Operations by Legionaire Games. Available through Wargames Vault link There is an abbreviated free version of both rule books so you can decide if this is the system you want. |

I would say Dirtside as well. |

Dirtside would seem a clear choice. |

Dirtside is a good game! But one thing isn't is s BIG battles game. You can still play with a decent amount of toys on the table though. I'm not sure what rules are an exact fit for the OP's query. I own Laserstorm. Weasal wrote em, so he should know best. I'd try them. Thanks,
John |

Not only is Dirtside good with complete unit and vehicle design rules, but the price is difficult to beat! (Free!) link |

Just picked up Laserstorm, will look at dirtside again, but I don't remember it being to handle large units. |

Epic Space Marine 2, lets you use futuristic weapons while deploying like the ACW or … IMO was the worst of the Epic rules systems. Of course the savvy player could actually deploy the massive forces on the board like modern units using combined arms maneuver warfare. But I don't think that was GW's intent … |

I modified Command Decision for my mass SF games becausebI wanted a little meat. For something simpler you can't go wrong with 5Core |

Dirtside allows you to play the same scale of games as Epic:Armageddon, with a little more detail. If the counters on the table bothers you, I suggest getting creative with diorama markers. |
