Hi All. posted a new Robotech Battle Report at the All Miniatures Great and Small Youtube Channel.

This was our first real game and overall it was fun. Yes. We did miss some of the rules, primarily around Dodges, anti-missile rolls, etc.

With all the negativity this game sometimes generates I was pleasantly surprised to find an enjoyable game at the end of the tunnel.

Oooo… will have to watch it when I get home from work!

Almost all of the negativity revolves around the kickstarter, and their continuing mismanagement of it. the game system itself is perfectly fine. I actually rather line it.

the models can be part intensive in the extreme, but they ate still pretty fantastic models.

if you didn't get involved with the kickstarter(like me) then your only a bit disappointed that wave 2 models aren't out yet.

on the RRT facebook group, there are also stats for 3050 battletech mechs made by one of the guys who helped write the rules.

Yep. He is also here. Morpheus1975

I have been liking the game so far. I have been playing UEDF most of the time and have always won. I played Zents a couple and have been about 50/50 with them. I know there is a working strategy with them, just haven't gotten it perfected yet.

The part counts are mostly consistent with 1/200 scale nichimos, just 1/3rd smaller but better shaped.

Man, the Zentraedi had a ton of command points. I wonder if they calculated the total correctly. The Zentraedi units with the "life is cheap" rule don't generate command points.

haywire14 Nov 2015 9:32 p.m. PST

2 Gluag at 1 +4 each
2 Scouts at 1 +2 each
6 Artillery Pods (which do not have the life is cheap rule) at 1 each

So he should have 22, I cant really see how many he has exactly, but it looks like he has around 20

@haywire.

I used 18 CP for the Z in that battle.
I didn't count the glaug as 1+4cp just as 4cp. Maybe I was in error and we shortchanged all of the mechs with leadership rule.

Thanks!

I thought the same way when I first read the rules, but have been told it is "an additional points" by the facebook group.

It should have been 1 + 4 for Leadership for the Glaug. I've made custom cards with reminders on them….

I'm also remaking the rules with a "Skirmish" version so you can eliminate the fixed squadrons and convert units from any other series/genre into the system.
