A Good-Looking Army in a Reasonable Amount of Time

Painting a wargaming army is a completely different beast from painting a single miniature for display.

Well, the main thing is LOTS MORE ALIENS! There will be FOUR new packs of the Xar ("Chitters") – each pack contains 3 different two-part figure poses. We have a "Leaders" pack with Beam Pistols; a "Command/comms" pack with a leader with Beam Rifle, a comms tech with data unit and an observer with vision enhancer; plus two support weapon packs: one with Quad-Barrel Heavy Beamers, one with Grenade Projectors!

Then we have FIVE more packs of new-sculpt KRA'VAK to add to the recently-released K-Rifle packs: full packs of SAW troops with heavy RF K-guns, a pack each bareheaded or with mask/helmets, Support Weapon packs (again bareheaded or helmeted) with a mix of 3-cell missile launchers and sniping/antimateriel "long rifles"; plus a pack of (bareheaded) Command/comms figures consisting of two Officer poses with K-pistols, a kneeling observer and a standing figure with data unit.

Also on the figures front, there will be the first two packs of the all-new MOONGRUNT line – vacuum-suited figures for near-future Luna combat, US Marine Expeditionary Unit Luna (MEUL) against the Chinese PLASF (People's Liberation Army Space Force); launched at the show (and available in very limited quantities) will be the first pack for each side, each of six suited figures with laser rifle/low-V grenade Launcher combo weapons and separate suit backpacks!

Last but far from least, we will have limited numbers of the largest single all-metal kit we've ever produced – a wonderful Heavy Lift VTOL with interchangeable payload pods, masterfully sculpted by MMG. This kit weighs in at 400g of metal, and will be available with a choice of either four Jet Lift units (the same engines as on our V15-48/49 VTOLs) or four larger ducted fan units (which will also retro-fit onto the V15-48/49 models for extra variety!). For this show we have just the standard general purpose transport pod cast up for the craft to carry, but alternative pod designs will be available soon (Gunship Pod, Command Pod etc). The complete VTOL is 110mm wide (across the Ducted Fan option, 100mm with the Jet units) and almost 120mm long from chin gun to tail fins!
I will have as many of them as I can get cast this evening – so come and see us early, but if you miss out then all the new stuff will be up for mailorder as soon as possible after the show weekend.

Regards

MMG.

So where are the pictures of this Heavy Lift VTOL?
Why are you withholding?

Pictures!!!! & spoil the fun of anticipation.

That anticipation is great for you local guys lucky enough to be able to attend the show. Us poor suckers stuck six time zones away have to be content with pictures. :-(

Only pictures I have the master which Jon asks me not to post.

The design is inspired by the AV-12 "Mantis" VTOL Gunship, cockpit closer to skycrane, with twin boom tail. Picture should be on site soon, getting my one on Saturday.

Interested in the Moongrunt line and the aliens, the VTOL sounds cool but at nearly a pound, probably a beast to ship!

Are they on the website??

I've had a review sample of the astronauts.

You wont be disappointed Mako (well – at least I wasn't!)
