Hi. I have seen very few photos
Of German vehicles and weapons in russian service. I don't relieve what russians don't use tons of vehicles.
My idea is use a shq 30mm flak in a gaz halftrack.
Would be this real?

you could almost use anything german in Russian service, inc captured gb ones.

As I understand it, the Russians weren't too fond of using captured German vehicles due to the high maintenance requirements. Weapons would be used as long as the ammo didn't run out which happened pretty quickly unless a depot was captured.

plenty of german trucks were used including captured French ones, there are plenty of pics of them about.

Captured equipment was of more value to the Soviets as a source of intelligence on German equipment capabilities and weaknesses than they were for use on the battlefield.

One notable exception was the the SU76i: converted from Panzer III and StuG III chassis, fitted with a new casemate and armed with a ZiS-5 76.2 mm gun. About 1,200 of these captured vehicles, many from Stalingrad, were converted at Sverdlovsk Factory No. 38 They were issued to tank and self-propelled gun units starting in autumn 1943.They were withdrawn from the front in early 1944, and used for training until the end of 1945

Unlike Wargamers and TMP'ers, the Soviets don't seem to have been greatly enamored with the Panther tank…..
