Been looking around for something new to get into so what figures or miniature games are new and interesting or at such a great price that I should jump. |

Those Boshin War minis from Bac Ninh miniatures are pretty tempting. I know nothing about the conflict, though. |

I'm just finishing my 15mm Dux Britanniarum project, so if "new" is Dark Ages / Arthurian (like it was for me) then: rules from TFL, splendid figures from Splintered Light, buildings from Peter Pig, villagers and livestock and loot from Donnington. Cheers, Christopher |

What's old? Frostgrave is popular now and I've enjoyed the games I've played. One Hour Wargames would allow you to get into any number of periods with a small number of figures. They deliver on thier promise of quickness and others have added a little spice if you need it. Bob Murch is releasing some Native Americans and with rules from Howard Whitehouse will provide beautiful figures and fun games. |

Warfare miniatures are out with Swedes and Russians(still more to come) For the GNW Personaly I'm painting GNW and NYW figures like there is no tomorrow, over 40 figures in less then a week, I havn't had that kind of painting volume in years! |

Speaking of Bob Murch, most of his stuff is for the pulp era (1920-1939 or so?), for which Pulp Alley is my favorite system. |

I agree that I am already looking forward to the Bob Murch Iroquois. I can see myself getting drawn into that rather easily. Squirrel! |

I've seen a fair bit of renaissance (Lepanto types) naval stuff about recently. Now there's a period for something a bit different. |

Well, Lepanto season is upon us once again. Now who's going to be the rear end of the horse this year? |

Okay, so 15mm scifi has caught my attention and looking at GNW |

I'm personally batting around the idea of putting together a 'modern' era imagi-nations game… |

I tend to get inspiration for a new period after watching a movie or reading a good narrative. I am not familiar with what scale or types or levels of battles, so this is a hard one to answer. |
