Greetings! I have decided to use 1" fender washers to individually mount my 28mm ACW miniatures. This will allow me to use them for both skirmish gaming and then add them to a four man base for regimental or brigade level gaming. Any recommendations for mdf laser cut companies that might do a base that would hold 4 of my miniatures to form a stand? Bottom is square and top piece has four 1" holes cut with the two pieces glued together. I know I saw something like this being made for the SAGA rules. |

I have some, but I have no idea who made them. O picked them up at historicon. Hopefully someone will know the firms name. |

I came up with these years ago, sent them to Liko to make for my Zulus & Pathans, and now lots of companies make them: link They also make the traditional kind too. Peter |

You can get thick magnetic "tape" at craft stores. I got 1" width and applied to precut 1" x 2" Masonite bases. If you stack them and put in a vise you can pretty well assume they will be stuck. |

Warbases do them that take either UK 1p or UK 2p coins. |

War bases made stands for me that hold my 3/4 " washers. Service was very fast, price was reasonable and communication was excellent. The only time I ever bought something from overseas. |

I use fender washers for all my 28mm bases. They have an additional benefit. I line my storage box flooring with a magnetic vynil sheeting and the fender washers rather stick in place to the magnetic sheeting. Much more movement friendly. |

I make movement trays with sheet magnet. Apply the magnet to your bases and put under a book overnight (do them in stacks). Spray paint the base brown or green. Then trace circles around your washers with a green sharpie. Now you can sand and flock around the circles. Your magnets will stick to the bases, and if you remove a figure you will just have a plain green circle in the back rank. Not too bad looking. Extra Credit: Make casualty markers or blanks to fill in the holes so the bases are always gorgeous. |

i too use a lot of fender washers for basing. it's been my experience that the washers are NOT 25mm but actually a little bigger, maybe 26mm. so use caution in picking up movement trays. i do know that the 2p sized ones (the currency) from warbases fit well. |

I use 7/8" fender washers for my 20mm WW2 figs. They attach quickly to trays (for storage or game movement) that are affix with magnetic sheet. |
