I am working on a Pz III for Russia and am trying to determine if the road wheels had a rubber rim to them? If so, I am assuming it would be a gray black color, before being covered with mud, dirt and dust? Thanks, Terry |

Only going from memory now but think only the Russians at times had to go from rubber to solid steel on wheels depending on availability, and would drop the rubber on only certain wheels. |

And the German road wheels I saw on various tanks at Aberdeen had very prominent casting lines running the outer center! Do not trim mould lines of those rims. |

Yes they had rubber tyres, and never used any solid metal wheels as some later models of Pz IV did. |
