When I saw them at plasticsoldierreview I knew I had to buy them:

Irish Troops and Irish Mounted Troops by Red Box.

I have not received the mounted troops yet but I already painted two galloglass.

Good looking miniatures of an interesting period. Easy to paint and not expensive at all.

They look fine though I'm not too sure about the choice of a barrel helmet – its perfectly possible all the same. The review describing the Irish saddle as checkered cloth is wrong it is quilted leather.

It looks to be based on the Lough Henney helmet – link – and would seem a reasonable choice to me.
