"Perry 28mm Battle in a box video" Topic

It is out today in the UK and I managed to get my hands on one. Here is a video that looks at the contents with a view to getting 28mm onto a small table.

Well, that video makes me think that this might be a good purchase to play TwoHourWargames Rifles and Rebels. Thanks for taking the time to enlighten us.

Thanks – please note, on initial inspection, I thought I had been given an extra Zouave sprue instead of an ACW 1 sprue, as I couldn't make up the 8th unit as being of one figure type.

Anyway I contacted the perry's and all in the box is fine. The figures supplied give 4 Confederate infantry units, on the Union side, you get 2 straight units, a zouaves unit and finally a unit that is two thirds straight union (2 x 6 figure bases from the ACW 1 sprue) and one third zouaves (1 x 6 figure base from the zouaves sprue). This is to represent those regiments that had a company of zouaves attached

I fear that the Zouaves can become a bit overabundant if you buy multiple sets of the box.

A friend and I are putting together forces for a game based around the fighting at Shiloh Church. As we both had existing ACW forces the figures coming in this box set will simply be added in to fill out Regiments.

The Union boys should complete Sherman's Division nicely, though the Zouaves will have to sit this one out i'm afraid!

The Confederate's will go a long way towards completing Pat Cleburne's Brigade!
