" I went for a very muddy, drenched field look."

And did it quite well, I think. The trousers are supposed to be cherry red, I guess, but come across as subdued, dirty cherry red.

Very cool--perhaps I need to try my hand at Napoleonics.

I approached the unit on the assumption that uniforms rarely were. I went with a mix of breeches, overalls and variance in issue.

Very nice

Note that Perry sells extra command sprues on their website if you need more officers

You are getting very precise lines – they look really good. Any hints on how you do that ? The cuffs are really neat and the lacing on the jackets looks perfect

John,

Many years of experience I suppose. A steady hand and a magnifying lamp are essential for me. I'm getting fussier and slower as I get older too. I go back over my over-painting and rub off when I drift immediately with a cut down brush and tooth-picks. Does that help?

I love the colour you used for the shakos…..different from the dolman and pelisse….but seems absolutely right based on what is in M de L'Armee. Brilliant tiny bit of detail………

That is what I look out for….the minutiae…sad really…I need to get out more………

I like the faded look on uniforms. They faded over their use so any unit having used the same garments for a bit would not have that "fresh, bright" color. Nice job.
