I'm not an expert but shouldn't the Stars'n'Stripes be on the right centre and the Regimental flag on the left centre? |

IDK about the ACW period, but the U.S. Flag Code (modern) stipulates that the US Flag on parade can be carried in front of others (front center) OR can be carried to the right of others. Long time ago (over 50 years, so things could change) I was given 'marching left, viewing right' as a rule of thumb but of course that was not ACW period. BTW, that 'viewing right' is from the perspective of someone marching behind the flag. |

Why do all the artillerymen have red stripes running down their trouser legs? Only NCO's have them. |
