Not sure if this has been posted but there's a new show written by Mark Gattis on British TV which has a very pulpy feel…

patchy acting and dialogue is similarly hit and miss, but the look and feel is spot on.

one bit of dialogue though:

"Good Lord – have you seen the newspaper?"
"Yes; and those were my exact words: 'Good', followed by 'Lord', in that order – and with and exclamation mark! And I never use exclamation marks!"
