I wish I could provide a list of all of the sculptors in the business today, but must confess that I know few of their names. So, if you know their names, provide us with your favorites. Please also share information about the manufacturer and ranges you find represent their best work. |

It is only in recent years that manufacturers have identified the sculptors. Most of my figures were purchased way before then so frankly, I have no idea who sculpted them. |
MajorB | 05 Nov 2015 9:50 a.m. PST |
A number of the "old school" manufacturers sculpted their own figures. |

Kev White of Hasslefree is one of my favs too… The Perrys obviously and Brian Nelson of former GW ranks. Daniel Cockersell ex FW now Weta, and Simon Egan of Forge World are all right up there. |

I've always like Mark Sims sculpting (of Crusader Miniatures fame), as well as Copplestone, The Perrys and Kev White. But also Julie Guthrie and Sandra Garrity on the fantasy side. Damon. |

Chris Fitzpatrick, now of Crocodile Games. I met him at a convention a few years back, and he was a really nice guy who was willing to take time away from his business to discuss sculpting tecniques with me. I thought his work for the Dark Eldar was good, his stuff for Tal Partha was better, and his various Wargods minis are great. I especially like the Basti, cat people rarely turn out well but his whole range of them is spot on. |

Bismarck | 05 Nov 2015 11:54 a.m. PST |
Winston, probably a gentleman named Chris Hughes, also of Sash and Saber. I was going to add him to the list as well as the Perris gentlemen who do the OG 15mm FPW line, and whoever sculpted the RAFM Charlie Company line of figs. Last but not least, dont remember his name, but whoever did the Eureka 15 French Indochina range,. |

Since this will be a poll – maybe include a picture of a representative sculpt for ID purposes? |

Forrest Harris – Knuckleduster War of 1812 series. A sculptor, manufacturer, distributor and war gamer…what a guy! They are superb figures, particularly horses/mounted men. I wish he would apply his digital magic to the War of 1812 figures. Paul Hicks, Brigade Games – Napoleonic and War of 1812 ranges. His sculptures are exquisite gems that are a joy to paint. Alec Brown, Front Rank – Napoleonic particularly British are excellent sculpts that are a joy to paint as well. Perry brothers – also exquisite figures that are a pleasure to paint. Also, I respect their daring to venture into periods that most manufacturers would not dare to. |

In alphabetic order: Forrest Harris Bob Murch Bob Olley Alphabetic because I think ranking amoung my top three is meaningless. Their figures are the ones for which I will pay more than a buck a body. |
