Seeking help learning how to set up a fortified company First up let me set my point of focus which is a Perimeter Outpost from Devil's Charge. This is the very first time I have ever tried to understand a fortified list so please keep the focus on this. Trying to keep things simple I have the following… 1 and 2 IC 2 rifles platoons each with a 3" gun in gun pits mortar platoon engineer platoon with supply truck rece jeeps 6x 105mm arty 4x tank destroyers 4x AA teams And a total of 5x MINEFIELDS, 8x BARBED WIRE and 7xTRENCHES plus what ever else the supply truck might bring with it. To me the rules in the core book are confusing on how to actually set up the company and fortifications and so on the board. IF you can help me how to correctly set up a fortified company and why it is set up that way I would greatly appreciate it. Once I have a firm understanding of this I have a Japanese company ready to try this out next! Oh and thank you in advance. |

Really depends on the ground and your objective. Check out some period Field Manuals for ideas |

He's asking for Flames of War advice. So field manuals will not be helpful. It's a horrible company. I am really annoyed that my 28th Infantry Division is saddled with such a geometrically constrained unit formation. |

The rules force you to deploy in a circle with a tiny radius. If it were not for that, it would be an interesting option to play with. |
