"While the Internet was internetting along on a Friday, a Redditor named Lumpawarroo came through and set the Star Wars subreddit absolutely ablaze. "Here I will seek to establish," he wrote, "that Jar Jar Binks, far from being simply the bumbling idiot he portrays himself as, is in fact a highly skilled force user in terms of martial ability and mind control. Furthermore, I assert that he was not, as many people assume, just an unwitting political tool manipulated by Palpatine—rather, he and Palpatine were likely in collaboration from the very beginning, and it's entirely possible that Palpatine was a subordinate underling to Binks throughout both trilogies. And finally, given the above, I will conclude with an argument as to why I believe it is not only possible, but plausible that Jar Jar will make a profound impact on the upcoming movies, and what his role may be." And then he proceeded to do just that. We don't want to ruin it all for you, but with an exhaustive exploration of Zui Quan (aka "Drunken Fist" martial arts), the nature of Force persuasion in Episodes I-III, and the relationship between Jar Jar and Palpatine, he…well, he blew everyone's mind. Upvotes rained down, as did Reddit gold—12 times over. The argument and its many intricacies has also been moved to DarthJarJar.com, but we recommend the original Reddit thread for the full thousand-plus-comment-adorned discussion. May the force protect us all from Supreme Leader Sithmaster Binks…" Full text here link Amicalement Armand |

I rather like the idea. So at the end of Episode IX we find that Jar Jar is the darksider that was manipulating everybody, including Palpatine! |

Funny, even thought-provoking in an Oliver Stone kind of way. But will Jar-jar be in the new movies? Not a chance. At least not more than a cameo. Why- - One of the key goals was less CGI. I doubt they will make a Jar-Jar puppet that would be convincing. - There's been a huge backlash against Jar-Jar (right or wrong). Disney won't risk the chance that 6 year olds are going to be punching the star of their new film on Disney Main Street. Better to start over. - We already know BB-8 will figure fairly prominently into the plot. Any need for the occasional slapstick/silly humor will probably be courtesy of droids as it was in the original trilogy. No real need for Jar-Jar. |

Mithmee have you seen any of the Clone Wars Cartoon? I ask because if you see the episodes that Jar Jar Binks is in you might think differently about killing him. There's more to Jar Jar than you think and what they did in the Clone Wars cartoon is pretty damm good. |
flooglestreet | 08 Nov 2015 7:38 p.m. PST |
Mithmee is right! Death to Jar Jar Binks. The people who did Clone Wars were unable to plumb the depth of stupidity that is Jar Jar Binks, and they wound up making him better then he is. He should be chopped into little bits and dried out then placed in a bag marked Purina Gundark Chow. |
Captain Gideon | 08 Nov 2015 10:51 p.m. PST |
flooglestreet you're very wrong Clone Wars gave us a more mature Jar Jar Binks if you did see the the Clone War episodes with Jar Jar in them you'll see just how wrong you are. Did you see the 2 part story with Jar Jar which was in the 5th(Lost Missions)season the one where he was paired off with Mace Windu? Seeing those episodes just makes your case all the more stupid. |
flooglestreet | 09 Nov 2015 10:46 a.m. PST |
Jar Jar Binks is evil! Clone Wars proves it. He teams up with Mace Windu and bumbled his way to success in order to confuse Windu. Mace then doesn't even consider Jar Jar, the Phantom Menace, as he looks for the Sith behind the Republics woes. Windu goes on to scarify Palpatine, just as Jar Jar planned, leaving him dependant on cats paws like Vader. Only a genius as cruel as Jar Jar Binks could come up with such a villainous plot! Jar Jar Binks is evil! |
Captain Gideon | 09 Nov 2015 12:04 p.m. PST |
But you're forgetting that it was Jar Jar who was requested and NOT Mace Windu because the race in question doesn't trust the Jedi so what does that tell you? Jar Jar Binks evil I think not and don't believe it this is Sith propaganda plain and simple. flooglestreet you just don't know what you're saying and you never will since you're dead set on this course and it's impossible to have a decent conversation with you so I won't try. |
flooglestreet | 09 Nov 2015 12:28 p.m. PST |
And why does the race in question trust Jar Jar (an apparent nincompoop) but not the Jedi? An evil mastermind would deliberately set a thing like this up. |
Ghostrunner | 09 Nov 2015 12:44 p.m. PST |
Tough call… Diabolical genius or bumbling, clueless stooge? Either he planned the fall of the Republic, or just caused it (in part) by accident? IF he was the diabolical genious, either manipulating or (more likely), working WITH Palpatine – it would make his role in the saga at least a little more palatable. It would also explain how a bumbling, clumsy idiot somehow avoids the fire of 50 gazillion battle droids in battle – he's really a Sith agent and it's all an act. Edit: but either way I don't think he'll be in the new movies. |
Captain Gideon | 09 Nov 2015 1:52 p.m. PST |
flooglestreet if you've seen the episode the Queen knew Jar Jar from before and as long as she trusts him that's all that you need to know. And as for why they don't trust the Jedi that really wasn't explained or I don't remember it I've only seen the episode once. The rest of what you said I won't comment on because it's not worth commenting on. |
flooglestreet | 09 Nov 2015 3:35 p.m. PST |
The Queen was in love with Jar Jar, he was the power behind the throne. It isn't stated exactly why they did not trust the Jedi. All due to the machinations of the power behind the throne. But as Lumpawarroo states the characters improbable bumbling made him so unpopular that he probably won't be in the upcoming movies, and that's a relief. The TMP death poll settled on early and offscreen for Jar Jars death, and merely ignoring him is probably better. |
Captain Gideon | 09 Nov 2015 3:57 p.m. PST |
flooglestreet not strong in the force you are and much you need to learn you do. And all this BS about Jar Jar is what it is BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the so-called Death poll is simply pure-BS which because no one knows the fate of Jar Jar Binks. And when you say he was the power behind the throne how in the hell do you know that? Simply put you're just making this up which is typical. And as long as I'm around Jar Jar Binks will NEVER be ignored. |
flooglestreet | 10 Nov 2015 10:52 a.m. PST |
If my death poll is bull shit, why did you conduct a copycat poll? TMP link . The reason you give (no one knows the fate of Jar Jar) does not negate the poll discussing possible fates for him. By the way, how is your poll turning out? Jar Jar is the power behind the throne on Bardotta because he is Queen Julia's lover. There is no mention of the situation on Bardotta other then the two episodes of Disappeared link link So we have no idea of what other systems Binks may have a hand in. I am not the only one making this up. The OP is about a Reddit entry which has 12 Reddit golds and over a thousand comments. It has lead to a separate web site darthjarjar.com Jar Jar is evil and fandom is awakening to that reality! PS Please accept my condolences on your recent losses. I know how tough it is to lose a good freind. Loss of a cat can be just as painfull. |
Captain Gideon | 10 Nov 2015 11:30 a.m. PST |
flooglestreet I only did my poll because there are some people who feel as I do about that Gold-Plated Butler and I know the poll hasn't turned out as I wanted but I did it and that's that at least I tried. As for Jar Jar being the power behind the throne and I say there's no proof whatsoever of it I saw it simply as Jar Jar was helping a friend out wouldn't you have done the same? The Reddit entry which I did read although I don't agree with it. I still believe that Jar Jar is NOT evil and I stand by that and there's nothing you or anyone else can say to change that fact to me. I do thank you for your condolences for my recent losses that was nice of you. |
