If your anywhere near the metro Atlanta area this weekend, we are running a Combat Command battle on Saturday November 7 from 1-5pm at Wasteland Games.

The battle depicts part of the second day of Battleaxe (6/16/41) in the North African theater. (Battle designed by Bob McKenzie.)

A big tank fight over rolling desert terrain.

Newcomers welcome and a great way to learn the rules (available through WargamesVault). Contact us if you need additional directions or information at TomAndKate@aol.com.

Its one of the reasons I used platoons as the atomic element in Combat Command – there are so many great historical scenrios at this level.

It just seems to work out as the right level for many many well know WWII battles.

Big thanks to all those who came out for the Combat Command Game. Game was based on the 2nd Day of Battleaxe and like history ended in a German victory (though not quite as large as the historical outcome).

Thanks to Bob McKenzie for churning out games based on historical battles and suitable for any platoon as atomic unit game (not just Combat Command – though it works great…)
