I have a bunch of Atrizan 28mm for east front, but I am looking to do a D-Day project and would like to see what everyone else has used. Thanks in advance for any photos.

I'd still go with Artizan. There was news that they are revamping their Germans that aren't in camo – Panzer Lehr, guys in regular tunics – but that was some time ago and haven't heard anything since.

I love Artizan figures. Use them for all of my British and Germans in North Africa.

I bought a pile of the Artizan Panzer Lehr before the allies captured them. Hoping they reappear. I mixed in some of the Artizan late war guys in smocks to add a little variety – static mgs, mortars, and what not.

Artizan is great but most of their late war Germans are either wearing smocks or draped with zeltbahnen. If you're looking for Germans garbed simply in grey-green tunics and helmets without covers you're better off with Warlord plastics as far as variety is concerned.

Crusader Germans are nice too but they're 1941 – 1943 mid-war rather than late-war Germans.

The Assault Group might be an alternative for '44 – '45 Germans if you prefer metal figures.

Victory Force also has an extensive range of late war Germans, but their figures tend to stand "above" the rest in size.

Battle Honors late war Germans are nice figures. Look a lot like photos you see of troops in Normandy I think. Shorter jacket, many with rolled up sleeves, some wearing hats (with helmets hanging on the gear), short boots with gaiters.

I like Black Tree (sculpted by Nick Collier). Mean looking bastards!

Battle Honours' minis can't be beat for their variety, but they might not match up size-wise with the other popular ranges.

BTD is very nice, but like Crusader their so-called "Stalingrad" Germans are mid-war types with jackboots.

Another option you might take a look at is Gothic Line Miniatures. They're a small operation but the minis look quite characterful:

Westwinds's Berlin or Bust range?

Not the BoB range as they're on the small side of 28mm, but their SHS (Separate Head System) range would work.

My favorites are Battle Honors and Gothicline Miniatures!
