So all the suposition, my own included, that GP was a failed business should be put to bed now. Since I originally posted, we've learned the owners are simply retiring. It's still possible that it's also not viable anymore – though a new, multi-year Star Wars franchise surely could keep a marginal store above water for a few years in the same way LotR bought time for GW. Since there appears to be no new owners to take it on, anyone know how the inventory is to be dispensed with? Have sales and markdowns started? I know there was quite a bit I'd buy if it was marked down and I'm not alone. |

I know that the sign says "retiring" but I rather doubt that the business was a fantastic success in the last ten years. You can see a breakdown of the sales schedule for everything including the fixtures in my OP about two threads down. |
