"Now that was stunning. One could certainly argue about the timing and placement of "Here's Not Here," considering the controversial "death" from last week's episode and the way showrunner Scott Gimple possibly under-anticipated the amount of buzz it would create from those who were able to spot the subterfuge. But I don't think that takes away from this superb chapter and the performances of both Lennie James (read our interview with him about tonight's episode) and John Carroll Lynch (who was spectacular here playing the exact opposite of the psychos he's now portrayed on two seasons of American Horror Story). Nor does the placement of "Here's Not Here" take away from the fact that Gimple himself wrote a tremendous stand-apart episode. One that really helped shed some new light on Morgan who, in all honestly, became somewhat of a frustrating element during the siege back in the second episode of the season, "JSS." Mercy is something we easily scoff at on The Walking Dead. It often gets in the way of action while feeling wickedly impractical and illogical. Tyreese's refusal to kill someone who was a clear and present danger put everyone at risk last year, so the show's stance on the humane treatment of others, especially those out to do harm, seemed rather clear. Even last weeks' episode featured the Wolves who Morgan let go returning to try and kill Rick in the RV. And while Rick handled them, the whole incident brought the herd down on the RV while also possibly disabling it. So to see mercy and peace handled here, this week, in such an in-depth and meaningful way was a revelation. And one that now makes…" Full review here link Also… link I don't like this chapter at all!. Slow… boring… no sense… Morgan choise about the wolf prisioner is a VERY BAD move… we will see… Kung Fu Cane (as the old serie) style in a Zombie Apoc never work! Amicalement Armand |

my wife loves the walking dead. i hate it. i think its terrible. the characters are shallow, the back story is, well, just not anything, really. the lead guy, the cop, is a terrible actor. they bring in 2 guys who were brilliant on the HBO series THE WIRE,and somehow their acting is beyond bad. when i saw them, i thought, "here are 2 guys who can act". i don't know what happened. and the "walkers". are we supposed to forget the word "zombie"? one minute, the walkers are smart. next week, they are now stupid. MAKE UP YOUR MIND, PRODUCER! STUPID SHOW. and the other one they tried to put out, fear the walking dead. yeah, stupid name, stupider show. |

I love the show and "Here, Not Here" was very powerful on a number of levels. As in most things in life there are those that hate and those that love. |

Excellent episode last night, Morgan is actually a very interesting character. Sorry folks but you are both 100% wrong (other than keeping that wacko alive is going to end up going badly). Walking Dead is the best show on TV right now (Game of Thrones not being on at the moment.) |

I'm sorry, but the whole Aikido thing was such a comic book cliche. Throw some martial arts into the plot and suddenly the characters are supposed to be emotionally deep and somehow noble. Saves the writers the bother of actually having to write decent dialogue, I guess. When the apocalypse gets here, the guy with the bo staff is toast within the first 15 minutes. I'll take the AK with the banana clip, thank you. |

Staff doesn't run out of ammo. Less likely to get stuck in a corpse too. Save the ammo for the crafty living. |

I liked this episode, too. Good stuff. |

I also liked the episode, but I don't see why this one was 30 minutes longer than a normal episode. |

I think it was 30 minutes of more commercials… As for Aikido – it wasn't the Aikido per say, it was the other guy taking the time to bring him back, aikido was just a way to move in a controlled manner which does wonders for the brain. In my case I take walks on the beach when possible, bike trail when not. Only have to deal with a handful of zombies each time too. |

I don't know sometimes one's personal beliefs can run deep, he sure didn't have any problems taking down those zombies. If you look back as to Hershel and his belief that they could be cured. |

I like the Morgan character, I liked Beth but read she wanted to move on so they killed her off. Yea the martial arts line was a bit hokey but we don't know how long they were together months maybe a year as we're in year three or four of the apocalypse. As for me small caliber for the zeds, larger caliber for the living. |

Put me in the "enjoyed it" group. Very good story that was well worth the wait until the end. I would suggest to anyone who did not watch the whole thing to give it another try. After the last few shows it was like a little break in the action. |

I didn't really say but I thought it was a top rated episode |

A rifle with a bayonet would be superior to the staff. The video at the end of the last episode pretty clearly showed Glenn getting eaten alive. Unless they pull some stunt. I am losing interest as the writers seem determined to make it the worst of all possible worlds. Rick and his gang bring death and destruction to all they visit. They visit the CDC in time to get the place blown up. They visit Herschel's farm and it gets overrun while they are killing each other. They feud with Woodbury – resulting in the destruction of both Woodbury and the prison. Terminus was a horror show and rightfully was destroyed. The cops in the hospital were surviving stably until the arrival of Rick's group. They were dysfunctional but surviving. Since they have arrived at Alexandria, it is going to heck in a handbasket. Internal strife, now some random attack by vikings. I would be more interested with the rebuilding process than this continuous run at the brink of survival |

I liked the Eastman character a lot better than Morgan. |
Tango01 | 05 Nov 2015 10:36 a.m. PST |
But Eastman character would never survive… too much "power of love" for an Aphocalipsis… some of the dark side of Morgan give him an advantage… Eastman was so good person to survive… Amicalement Armand |
