It took me a little time to get this AAR written up, but better late than never.

I took the introductory scenario from the book and made some modifications. First, I used forces drawn from the Space Marine and Eldar lists that I created using the unit calculator. Next, I added another objective, so the game would be a race to 6 victory points.

I played both sides in this engagement as I am still learning the rules.

I found a couple of units that need to be tweaked (Falcons should have Transport 2). But generally, I think the unit stats are decent.

The Marines won on turn 3 with 6 VPs versus the Eldar's 2 VPs. The Eldar had bad rolls throughout the game. and I think they need additional command units since their moral isn't super high.

More pictures and details can be found on my blog. link

Overall, I think this is a fun game and would encourage others to check it out if you haven't yet.

Kewl, Sean. I forgot to ask you, how important is combined arms? If I just show up to the party with tanks, am I guaranteed a dirt nap?

Any use of air units?

I made the purchase, but it hasn't cleared Wargamer's Vault.

The game is built around combined arms, but I think you could build a force with only tanks or infantry. The important thing is making sure you have the weapons to deal with what your opponent has. If he has lots of tanks, but most of your weapons are anti-infantry, you might have a bit of a challenge.

Currently there are no air units, but I've seen comments from the author that they may appear in a supplement at some point if there continues to be interest in the game.
