What sort of vehicles would there be seen in Afghanistan during soviet occupation. |

some soviet cars, vans and a few western civilian ones, but not as much as a western country. mainly soviet trucks I think |

there would not have been that many Toyota pick ups around in the early-mid 80's and they would look a lot different than the ones seen nowadays. |

Do not know about Afghanistan, But was in Pakistan mid 80s. In big cities of course lots of cars. Mostly Japanese and expensive European. In large towns like Peshawar, older model Japanese and some old British, new model 4wd with relief agencies. But lots of horse and carts and donkey carts. In small villages often no cars. Minibuses as public transport. Lorries were overloaded and brightly painted. Hope that helps a bit |

Lots and lots of Toyota pick up trucks. Also, Jinga Trucks. My sympathies for anyone trying to paint one of these in any of the wargaming scales! |
