Subject line says it all.

I am interested in starting the medieval period, but I will be mainly gaming solo. I have read good things about Lion Rampant.

Is Lion Rampant suitable for solo play?

Thanks to all who respond in advance!

I've played a few games of Lion Rampant and iv quite enjoyed them. But, I don't really think that it's suited to solo play due to the small scale action involved. Then again could be wrong considering I've never played it solo.

I have played solo and the activation dice means that it works ok.

Not a lot of complex calculations and the fact that the game is lite fair means that it is pretty fun solo. The random activation means that no decision will be perfect so. Heck yeah. It would be great for solo play.

LR is a great game. I suspect if you are used to playing solo and enjoy that sort of thing then LR will provide you with good fun. A thing to bear in mind is that 1 its fast 2 it has no provision for solo play, i.e. there is no "ai" mechanism. when i play solo I usually play thw because of that, but if it does not bother you then it will work, and is a splendid little set of rules, and at $18 USD you can't go wrong!

I played it solo once and it worked OK.

2 it has no provision for solo play, i.e. there is no "ai" mechanism.

I have played solo games for well over 30 years and I have never found the need for any form of "AI".

I've played it solo several times. Works fine to my mind.
