This one caught me by surprise, today! I knew about the set of US vehicles coming out separately from their 1/144th LCM kit, but to see this set next to them was …exciting! There are 2 each M-47 Pattons, HS-30 (what the Ratke and Jagdpanzer Cannon was based upon) and 2 each MAN 5T gl "Emma" trucks. The plastic kit sells for 9.99 Euro (about $13.00 USD USD). (Revell kit number 03351) Same price for the Sherman, M-8 Grayhound and Duce and a half trucks. Again 2 each for a total of 6 vehicle kits for the same price. Revell kit # 03350) I hope these sell well enough to see more come out! BTW, Revell sells the right shade of olive for the early West Germans (Aqua Color 36142 Gelboliv Yellowish Olive) The moldings are nice, crisp and I did not see any flash at first glance. They also come with decals (waterslide transfers). Hope this is helpful. I was not aware of any M-47's or MAN Trucks out in 1/144th or N scale.(Now that I have said that, just watch how many posts inform me about some that I had missed before!) />) v/r Tom |

1/144 is 6mm? Any game in platoon-stand size? |
Dye4minis | 31 Oct 2015 4:05 p.m. PST |
Pipers: No more like 10-12mm, not 6mm. (6 mm is more like 1/285-300th) v/r Tom |

Ok. Team yankee if Revell makes 80's vehicles |

Revell of Germany certainly do in 1/72nd scale. These are their first (that I know of) in the 10-12mm (1/144th) size. There are other companies offering some in plastic and some in metal, though. |

Would love to see them release a set of T-64s and BMP-1s (T-62s would be okay too). |

In pendraken a tank like a centurión cost 4.5£\6€. And Revell are 6 vehicles for 9€/11$. Any company who sells at that price? |

I really hope they will expand the range!!! |

Just finished one of the M-47's and used that Revell "42" green olive. All I can say is that the color seems spot on! I put some GFI/Minifigs painted Nam era figs next to it and the results also were well matched in size. Will shoot some pics tomorrow (providing life does not interfere) after work. Also seems to scale well sitting next to an M-60A3 I had done up, again from the GFI/Minifigs range of moderns. I have to find my West German infantry!…..Now where did I put them…. |

Slightly disappointingly it seems that the Bundeswehr vehicles are just the load for a post-war german version of the LCM – see about two thirds down the linked page under the subs. And therefor don't seem to be the start of a new range, though if they sell well may Revell will take a punt on more (though we can perhaps hope for a Russian landing craft)? link Picked up via Kampfgruppe 1/144 |
