PicoArmor makes great looking 1:600 scale planes, and I'm trying to drill deeper holes in the bottom of the planes to insert a brass rod for mounting to a base. However, the PicoArmor is cast from a harder white metal than typical lead, and I'm not having much luck using a standard pin drill or electric drill. Has anyone had any good luck, and if so what did you use?
Any help is appreciated.

Good luck, the metal has nickel in it. Someone must have some solution though. Ask the Johns at Pico.

I'm not sure it's worth the grief – much easier to glue on tiny magnets than try drilling that – the big plus of OO's alloy is that it's better at holding very fine details (particularly noticeable on the helicopters) than white metal, but it's a nightmare to work with….

How about gluing a small craft bead or something similar, you should be able to drill that easily.

Dom's right.

Just glue the magnet on the Belly.
