LSHM Membership Meeting at MillenniumCon

MillenniumCon info here: millenniumcon.info

Meeting will start at 1:00pm and end at 1:30pm in the Bowie room on the 2nd floor. No signup is necessary to participate.

One of the board's priorities this year is to reengage more Texas gamers in LSHM. The club system is still there but each group has steadily, and understandably, drifted in different paths. There is nothing really wrong with that, but we want LSHM and Millennium Con to represent the Great State of Texas effectively. One move in that direction has been the creation of an at-large seat on the LSHM Board of Directors. We want to begin building representation outside of San Antonio and we want to use the opportunity presented by Millennium to offer a voice to LSHM members in electing representation to the board.

This year, we will hold a short membership meeting on Saturday Afternoon at the con. It will be a chance to introduce current board members, seek a little input from the membership and most importantly hold an election for the at large board seat for 2016.

Only those attending the con will be eligible to vote, but you do not necessarily have to attend the meeting to do so. We will accept nominations for the new seat until the end of the meeting. Official ballots will be available after that and votes will be accepted until the con closes on Sunday.

If you are interested in the seat or know someone who is, advance nominations are welcome. An email to Joe Shaffer-joeshaffer9@gmail.com, Mark Leroux-mlerouxtx@gmail.com or Charles Torok-torokc@hotmail.com will suffice to enter a nomination.
