Looks like he converted the face to be more like a drawing and less realistic, it looks great.

It is excellent. And I see it is supposed to be "Tomoe Gozen", the 12th century Japanese warrior woman and reputed concubine of Minamoto no Yoshinaka.

Setsuko-san, I think the facial conversion works since makes it her look more like an ukiyo-e print, which is appropriate for a Japanese historical personage.
