very nice looking terrain. I've dealt with them before and had very good experiences

I'd struggle to find a specific SF use but… nice!

Very Cool!
I joined their Vietnam firebase Kickstarter and even though
it didn't make it's funding minimum they still honored the
pledges -class act.
The firebase product is quite nice and I wouldn't hesitate
jumping on board this one!
Now I'll have to buy Romans. :P

@Combat Colours

How were the Vietnam firebase pieces scale wise? I tend to use 15mm – 18mm figures depending on the range and find some 15mm terrain looks a tad small with the 18mm minis (depending on how true to scale it is).

Hi,
The firebase pieces look fine with my 15mm kit, which is BF/Eureka/PP.
The bunkers are solid but I prefer that: placing stands on top rather than lifting off roof lids during a game.
Only issue I had was with my bases, I mount figs as elements, not individually, so some of their slit trench/gun
positions were tight.
Hope that helps!

Very helpful, thanks. I too use a mixture of those minis as well as many AD (AQotMF) and some Blue Moon. I was interested to see how these new fortifications would work with, say, the new AD Crush of Iron range (once it launches).

As for Sci Fi uses they can be a fortress on a low tech world or the entrenched camps can be used for almost any period.

Like Combat Colors I joined the kickstarter. I too got a big box of goodies even though the kickstarter didn't fund the campaign. Hallowed Ground are gold standard dudes. They lived up to their promises and their goods arer top notch, quite the best resin products I've seen.

Looks nice but the P & P kills it for me ($60)

I wonder if A) it would be possible and B) more cost effective to have the order shipped to a US based freight forwarding company then on to you rather than direct? I was pondering the idea myself since I'm in Canada, but I'm relatively new to Kickstarting so the rules and logistics are tangling me up at the moment.

I'm in for an entrenched camp! The question is will it help much against The Hive!?!?

Canuckinator02 Nov 2015 8:33 p.m. PST

I fired a couple of questions off to the creators, but haven't heard back from them yet. I was interested in:

1) Dimensions (individual pieces and assembled fortifications).

2) Combos – Is it possible to order two different sets (say the Castra Marching Fort with Tents and the Stone Fort)?

3) Emperor – Any chance of an unpainted variant?

4) 18mm – I'd love to see a photo with some different manufacturers minis for reference. If these would work with heroic 15mm (ie 18mm), the AD Crush of Iron kickstarter could certainly bolster this Kickstarter.

Hmm…seem to be having a hard time getting in tough with the HGT team. I've contacted them via their Kickstarter page and their main webpage but haven't heard anything from them yet. Does anyone know of any other lines of communication they use?
