I just found out about this game yesterday. I would describe it as a paradox type grand strategy (like Europa universals, for those who have played those type of games ) but with a bigger focus on the military, including actually letting you control the battles. It looks VERY promising, both European and north American theaters are in the game. thesevenyearswar.com

Looks Great, but I've not heard much good about Steam. Matter of fact I don't even know what Steam is/does. |

Steam are a digital game store, no need to wait for CD's in the post or a trip to the store. store.steampowered.com They also have good discount deals from time to time. |

Steam is the domenating delivery system for pc. (Having like a 90% market share) Its generally conciderd death of a small game not to be sold on steam. As most pc gamers won't bother buying a game unless it's on steam. It stared i 2004, with the release of half life 2. The first few years, it was bad, lots of trouble, unreliable. To day it's totaly stable, and this year they added r0the ability to get refunds for games (either 2 hours played or owned it 14 days) There isno reason not to use ut except if you are very much against monopolies. |

I used to be anti-Steam. Now I don't mind it. I've been using it for years now. |

I hate Steam and prefer GoG. I have had payment issues with Steam that I never had with GoG. |

I'll have to look for both this game and the new return policy. I was totally ed when I bought a game at full price at 8am and saw it on sale for less than half two hours later. Steam said, "Too bad, so sad" in so many words. Haven't bought anything listed at full price since. Hope they will post a demo version. (edit) Wow! never been bleeped before. |
