anyone knows of a campaign system that works with a map and doesn't put the prussians in an overwhelming disadvantage? |

There is Sport of Kings for the Age of Reason rules. Can't comment on the Prussians being at s dis advantage though. |

Sport of Kings does use a map, but movement is by area. You move from one province to another province like you move from space to space in a board game. Except for province boarders, there is no terrain such as roads, rivers, hills, forests, etc. It works well for five to seven (?) players looking for strategic reasons to fight table battles very quickly, but campaign detail is minimal. |

Frederick the Great by SPI and republished by Avalon Hill. Fun game easily converted to the table top. link "Frederick the Great is an operational level wargame on the Seven Years War between Frederick the Great's Prussia (and allied Hanover) and the anti-Prussian coalition consisting of France, Austria, Russia and a host of European countries. There are seven scenarios, each covering one year of campaigning. The game consists of a map covering most of central Europe, rules and counters depicting the important leaders and generic strength points representing armies." |

I have a similar looking map game to that, published in Strategy and Tactics number 163. It's called "The Seven Years War". It is for two [teams of] players controlling the forces of Austria, Britain, France, Hanover / Allied, HRE, Poland, Prussia, Russia, Saxony, Sweden and Netherlands. I have no idea how it plays; I've never played it in the 15 years I've had it. |

I checked age of reason the prussians at a too much disavantage and the frederick the great doesn't include the colonies |

Frederick the Great doesn't include the colonies but is pretty well balanced. But you have to include bonuses for leadership in your tactical game. Otherwise the Allies won't fear Frederick. You can play a campaign based on a single year. Each strength point equals about one brigade. |
