I've written a rough over view of the game, what some of the mechanics are, and a little bit about each of the races for those who are thinking about getting into this new system link |

I've pre-ordered the starter set and am now (im)patiently waiting for it to get down to Oz! 😁😁😁😁😁 |

Asked about it down at the FLGS and basically got: "Uhhh… Didn't the kickstarter die?" |

Show em the article and get them up to speed! Can't wait to get my copy of the set though. Just to see the book will be awesome! |

About shooting: Is it 1d10 per unit, per model, or is it multiple d10 per model? |

Nice article! I think I am not a little disappointed that it's built on the Bolt Action engine. I'm just not a big fan of it's mechanics. |

yeah…kinda think rick shot his bolt with RT. |

Looks awesome and I pre-ordered it. If you think Rick Priestley shot his bolt with Rogue Trader, you've been living under a rock. |

Lion – It's 1D10 per shot, so if a weapons has a rate of fire allowing 2 shots, you roll 2 dice. If you have a 5 strong unit with each model firing 2 shots, it's 10 dice rolled in total. Nazrat – Thank you! What part of the BA mechanics don't you like? Apart from the order and pinning mechanism there's not really any similarities between the two systems. |

OK so if I have a unit of five that can blat 3 x D10 shots at the opponent that's 15 D10s correct? I've never owned 15 of those ever, I'm not opposed to the BA mechanics for Scifi (it actually is a great mechanic for Scifi I think) but to have order dice that are standard 6 sided and then to bucket of dice the shooting but use D10s, sounds like compromises between Rick and the company. I'll wait to see some AARs of course but for now I'll stick to a wonderful little set of simple rules that are similar without all the clutter called 'Bolter Action' from the 1pagerules guys, quite fun to play and believe it or not free. (Oh! I get to play with all my old WH Rougetrader stuff to. Cheers and good luck though. |

Fair enough, everyone wants something different from their rules. On average though your usually not rolling more than 5 dice, 10 at most at a time far from the buckets of dice approach of many games. 4 of us were able to play a fairly large multiplayer game in just over 2 hours. The system becomes very intuitive and easy to pick up, don't think I've had to check my rules at all for the last 2-3 games we've played! |

Thank you for the BtGoA peek, Andy. If you have a chance, please post a full AAR so we can see more how the game plays. Thank you, David |

yeah, this game is obviously a nefarious plot between Rick and dice manufacturers to sell D10's. I'm not certain this game system was designed for anyone that believes Rogue Trader is in any way actually a good ruleset. |
